About you

  • You have experience with writing embedded software, and are experienced in Rust (and maybe also Python, Javascript, and Swift).
  • You have a deep understanding of Electronics and Hardware development.
  • You want to work in a startup where you can see your work translated into real-world impact on the mental wellbeing of people
  • You thrive in an international team with diverse skill sets, and you are comfortable working in English

What we’re looking for

We're looking for a developer to write Rust for our firmware on an nRF52840, which uses an ARM Cortex-M chip. Our product is built on custom hardware, using several different chips and sensors.

It's a plus if you have experience with electronics, and are comfortable interacting with these components at a low level of abstraction.

Our hardware communicates over Bluetooth with an iOS app, whose Bluetooth logic is written in Swift. Some experience with iOS and the CoreBluetooth module would be an asset when diagnosing issues.

What you could be doing

You will be working on expanding our MVP-level firmware to a finished product.
Some specific feature implementations include:

  • Optimising Bluetooth communication (L2CAP and GATT)
  • Deploying firmware updates over Bluetooth
  • Optimising storage and processing capabilities
  • Reviewing changes to components and manipulating register values
  • Reviewing circuit board changes

You’ll be working closely with both our software, hardware and research teams, and will become familiar with every part of our stack.
Where is the job

The job can be either remote, in our Copenhagen office or hybrid.If you are based in Copenhagen, we offer a hybrid home / office working environment, lunch, and great company culture.

 This role is flexible and can be either full-time or part-time.

This job is potentially open to contracting to a person with the right skillset and experience.
